Before Session

What you pay? Why you pay?
At minimum, you’re going to spend $100. That’s crazy, right? Not really. I am cheaper than some studios and more expensive than others. I also understand that I’m not the right photographer for everyone. All I’m saying is, if you’re going to spend $100 at your average chain studio for a FEW prints or $100 with a different custom photographer for JUST the session fee…stick with Emerge Photography. With me, you get a big BANG for your buck. In addition to my time [preparing, shooting, editing] and talent [giving you more than a cookie-cutter studio], you receive an Image CD. Print what you want, when you want, how many you want FOREVER!

Can a friend/escort come with me?
Yes! Your friends will most likely keep you relaxed and help you to get natural expressions. Besides, anyone who joins you makes a great assistant! =)

How do you decide on locations?
I am constantly scouting new and fresh locations for sessions. During the consultation I will ask about what feel you’re going for. So, if it’s at a park, urban area, or etc is up to you, I just want you to feel comfortable wherever we are!

After Session

What are Digital Negatives? What is an Image CD?
Digital Negatives are virtually images straight out of the camera, with minor tweaks (if any), no retouching, no resizing. Digital Negatives are NOT provided on an Image CD. The Image CD has photos that have had extensive editing and retouching to make them the best they can be.

Why can’t I print wall portraits (larger than 8×12)?
Wall portraits require a little more “finesse” which is why they’re offered through the studio. I have a special process that allows me to enlarge the image to virtually any size without any loss of quality. This is something that you just can’t get at one-hour photo shops. The process that each image goes through before being printed can take hours, and is very skilled work, so we charge accordingly for this service. In addition, when you purchase from the photographer directly, you are getting an image printed by a professional photo lab on super high-quality photographic paper and whatever time it takes us to carefully tweak and retouch the image and then calibrate it to the specific printer that our lab will be using, as well as a guarantee that if something is wrong with the physical print you receive, we will replace it free of charge until you are satisfied.

How long do I have to order my prints?
The online proofing gallery will be active for 14 days. You have that time to view and order prints. Once the gallery has expired, there will be a $25 fee to republish it for an extra week.

Can I use images for Facebook, MySpace, etc.?
Yes, as long as you’re using the web images provided with your collection.
